Saving with Fruit & Veggies- First Five steps of Saving

At almost every coupon class, someone tells me it's impossible to save on fresh fruits and vegetable. I've been doing research for about as week trying to put together a blog(thanks Jenny for the idea) explaining how to incorporate your fruits and veggies into you couponing so here we go....

All items(including fruits and vegetables) have a time to buy, a time to stockpile and then a price to high to even think of buying it.

Here's the first step of incorporating fresh items into your budget...

1. Purchase items that are in season. Items in season are normally cheaper then items out of season.
2. Price Match, Price Match, Price Match- Use Wal-Mart or other stores near you that Price Match to get the very best deal so that you don't have to overpay for some items and get deals on others.
3. Overage-When you have overage, use it towards your fruits and vegetables.
4. Freezing- In the next few sessions, I'll go in depth on learning what types of fruit you can freeze, how to freeze them and how long they'll last frozen.

In the next few blogs, I'll completely break each one of these steps down...Happy Saving until then!
